About me
Rosalinda Alvarez has worked as a bilingual domestic violence advocate for 28 years with The Lighthouse in Yakima County. The first 8 years as a volunteer and the last 20 years as an employee. As an advocate, she has led women's support groups in Spanish, along with advocacy, legal advocacy, outreach, presentations on teen dating violence, and prevention education in the communities we serve. She has also done many trainings in the schools, clinics, community partners, and local law enforcement agencies. Rosalinda feels strongly about reaching out to parents on topics that can reduce domestic violence, and awareness about healthy relationships. She is a mom of two and grandma of six grandkids. In her spare time, she enjoys time with her grandkids, and family vacations but most of all she enjoys teaching them the family traditions in cooking and baking. Rosalinda’s passion is empowering and inspiring others.
