About me
Margaret Hobart, PhD. has been an activist and advocate for survivors of DV/SA for decades. She’s worked on hotlines, in emergency shelters and community-based advocacy programs. During her 15 years at WSCADV, she focused at first on the DV Fatality Review, then shifted to children impacted by domestic violence, supporting survivor’s parenting, shelter policy and design. In her four years at the National LGBTQ Institute on IPV, she worked toward ensuring that LGBTQ survivors had access to excellent, affirming DV advocacy. Since 2019, she’s served as an expert witness for domestic violence survivors caught up in DCYF dependency actions, and a consultant on DV advocacy projects. She received her PhD in Political Science from UW.
