About me
Bridget Griffin is currently the GBVSS Legal Program Supervisor and Survivors FIRST Legal Navigator at the YWCA Seattle/King/Snohomish for the past 9 ½ years. Her journey working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault begin 30 years ago in pervious roles in King Superior Court in both criminal and family law departments and the Municipal Court as a legal advocate where she gained a wealth of knowledge that she now uses to help survivors navigate those systems.
She is currently on the Steering Committee for the Family Law group and on the advisory board of JCDVS a Faith Based Domestic Violence Coalition. In July she and three others presented at the WSBA Family Law Midyear Conference on Coercive Control “What is it and why it matters”. As one of the Survivor Firsts Legal Navigators Bridget has been a speaker and presenter for countless trainings and webinars to help educate attorneys, law enforcement, system advocates, community advocates and the community about Survivor’s First.
She is dedicated and passionate about helping survivors/defendants and to ensure their voices are heard in both criminal and family law legal process; especially our marginalized communities which are black women and women of color.
