About me
Brandi Belgarde is a resilient woman from Okanogan, Washington who overcame a difficult upbringing marred by domestic violence, sexual abuse, addiction, and alcoholism. She escaped an abusive relationship and battled addiction before moving to Mexico in 2006. She returned to the US in 2011 and spent four years going back to school to get a college degree and securing her husband's immigration status.
She works at The Support Center as Bilingual/Bicultural Advocate and is dedicated to her work. She started her work there as the Shelter Services Coordinator in April 2016 and worked her way through several positions such as Financial Manager and Director of Immigration Services while taking on additional responsibilities such as creating and organizing materials for her program as well as organizing community events. She has gained a vast amount of knowledge about how their program works, how it’s funded, and how important the agency is for survivors in their community, and she is passionate about her work.
